On 23th, June, 2017, CAERI released the first intelligent and connected vehicle evaluation system framework(hereinafter short as Framework) and conducted a detailed interpretation of the Framework from market background, technical advantages, service targets, evaluation rules, and many other aspects.
The press conference held in the R&D and Testing Base of CAERI in Liangjiang New District, Chongqing. Secretary-general of China Association of Automobile Manufactures Wu Shaoming, Deputy Secretary-general of SAE-China Gong Weijie, Deputy Director of Experts Committee of China Industry Innovation Alliance for the Intelligent and Connected Vehicles and Professor from Department of Automotive Engineering of Tsinghua University Li Keqiang attended the conference. Representatives from FAW, DFAC, Chang’an Auto, GAC, BAIC, Geely, JAC, Baidu, Huawei and the medias from CNR, CNS, Xinhua Net, China Auto News, Chongqing Daily and other media witnessed the event together.
Depending on the technology and equipment of CAERI, the evaluation system will comprehensively evaluate the intelligent and connected vehicle products from safety and experience under various testing scenarios which is suitable to China's conditions. The evaluation result is not only to help those vehicles who have excellent performance to win the market recognition, but also will react to the R & D and production enterprises, enabling them to improve the design, optimize performance as well as to provide consumers with a better user experience. Thus it can indirectly boost the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry.
