What is Thunderbird?

Often I get asked "What is Thunderbird?," when people read the biographical information in About Us.  So I thought I would explain a little about Thunderbird and my background there.

I have what is known as a Master of International Management (M.I.M.) degree from Thunderbird - School of Global Management, or “Thunderbird” for short.  My degree is essentially a M.B.A. but with a global concentration.

Thunderbird is strictly a graduate level and executive level curriculum that focuses on international business, global affairs, and trade and commerce.  By the way, believe it or not, the school is located right here in the Valley of the Sun in Glendale and had its roots as an airbase for pilot training during World War II!  Not known to many is that the school is ranked Number 1 for International Business by The Financial Times and U.S. News & World Report.

Now, the next question that I get asked is how did I end up in real estate in the Phoenix real estate market.  The simple answer is that I find real estate fascinating and enjoyable.  After a long stint in the corporate world (most recently at Intel), I decided to give real estate a go.  I still have that yearning to travel abroad but given where I am in my life, I am quite happy staying put.  The Phoenix area is home for me.  However, some day I will once again look to stretch my wings again.  I would love to get involved in international real estate!

I loved attending Thunderbird and have kept up with many friends over the years.  There is a certain camaraderie of spirit there.  By the way, I welcome questions about the school any time.

Most importantly, Thunderbird is where I met my wife and I wouldn't have the kids and the family I have now without it.  As such, I like to think that I got a lot more than a great education for my money there!

Thanks for the opportunity to tell you a little about myself.  Now, let's talk about you.
