Ahwatukee Real Estate Market Exhibiting Improvement
Just posted a new article about improvement in the Ahwatukee real estate market. The number of Ahwatukee homes that are "Pending" or under contract for sale is clearly higher year over year. Much of this improvement has taken place since January 1st. Ahwatukee homes are simply selling more as buyers are incentivized to purchase homes now given low home prices, low interest rates, and the $8,000 tax credit for "first-time" homebuyers.

My belief is that Ahwatukee's results are trailing those seen in other communities overall as inventory in many areas is dropping more substantially with sales already posting stronger results. It's definitely positive news though we still don't know what impact the lifting of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac moratoriums are going to have and how many new Ahwatukee foreclosures there will be.
